I hate the cold

I hate cold weather. Especially cold, wet weather. I played a soccer game today in 39 degree weather with it raining the entire time. No fun. At least bears seem to enjoy winter weather.

I don't even know

I found this video on You Tube this morning. All they sing over and over is "Come on Bears". Maybe it's trying to motivate the Chicago Bears, who knows? But a paper cut out of a bear and a teddy bear appear in the video.

Bears and books

About a month ago, Hubby and I went to the National Book Festival. I was pleasantly surprised when we go there and saw polar bears on the banners.

 

A non-camping weekend

Hubby and I were supposed to go camping in Shenandoah National Park this weekend. However, when we got to the park, all the campgrounds were full :(   That makes me a sad Claire bear. On a positive note, we did see 4 black bears as we were driving through the park. However, I refused to be one of those people who stop in the middle of the road and block traffic to get a picture, so no pics of the bears for the blog. Sorry, but this will have to do.

Hope this doesn't happen

Hubby and I are headed out to go camping this weekend. While where we are headed doesn't have grizzly bears, there are black bears. I wonder if they can do as much damage as these guys.

A Beary Weedy Situation

My little sister graduates from police academy today. I hope she doesn't have a situation like these Canadian police did. Back in 2010, they found two marijuana fields near the U.S.-Canada border. In addition to finding the marijuana, they also found 13 black bears wandering around the fields. Apparently the bears weren't aggressive. It's probably because they were high from living in a marijuana field.

People are idiots

A ton of exotic animals had to be shot and killed because they escaped from a farm where they were being held. Among the animals killed were bears. When your coworker is away . . .

the bears will play. One of our coworkers, Brian, went to Spain not too long ago. Brian has an awesome bear foot stool that he keeps in his office area. My lab mate, Drrr, thought it would be awesome to leave a bear surprise for him upon his return. This is what Brian found.
